Case StudiesThere are many times Melco steps in to save the day, track a shipment already in transit and get it to its destination on time and in tact. Here are a few case studies that show how Melco can help you in a compromising situation. Case 1:Mr. Adams sends an important piece of equipment on a regular carrier for a three-day service. His company gets a call during the day informing them that the piece has become highly important and it needs to be at the destination facilities immediately. Three-day transit time was too long; they needed the piece over night. Melco tracked the piece of equipment already in transit and transloaded it onto our truck. Melco brought it back to our warehousing facilities, recrated the sensitive piece and hot shot it to the nearest airport and handed it off to the airfreight forwarder. It arrived on time, in tact, and ready to use. Case 2:A neighbor was remolding their home with new Ashley’s Home Store furniture. Much of their existing decor was antiques and family heirlooms; the family could not seem to part with the old furniture. Instead of reselling the furniture they decided to move it into storage. The family called Melco because they did not know how they were going to move it and where to store it to have easy access to it if they decided to incorporate an old piece with their new look. Melco picked up the furniture, carefully transported it to our warehousing facilities as some of it was protectively crated and stored at our warehouse. |
